About 'The Grand'

The Swansea Grand Theatre was opened by Madam Adelina Patti - an Opera Diva of her day - under the original proprietors Morell and Mouillot.

Over the last twenty years, the fabric of ‘The Grand’ has been improved and enhanced considerably, by the former Swansea Corporation, Swansea City Council and more recently the City and County of Swansea. The result of these improvements is that today’s Grand continues to enjoy the charm and atmosphere of yesteryear but with the benefit of modern amenities.

Additional facilities include: The hosting of conferences.
Educational visits to give pupils a look behind the curtain at The Grand Theatre.
The Grand Theatre Club started in 1971 by a group of avid theatre-goers.
Weddings that can be exquisite, elegant, stylish...when the curtain rises on your wedding day...only the Grand can perform to perfection.
The Dance School and the Youth Theatre group hold classes, performances and workshops here.
