About:
A railway line operating steam and diesel trains.

About the Railway

Operated primarily by volunteers, many of whom worked with British Railways; these people also restore and maintain the vintage railway vehicles and buildings. Steam and diesel trains run weekends from mid-June to mid-September and on Bank Holiday weekends in May. There is a special event each month in the season, also at Easter and Christmas.

Travel between Barry Island, the Waterfront and Woodham Halt and re-live the magic of steam trains.

Refreshments:
'Steamers Buffet' offers light refreshments
Special Offers:

Do you know someone who would like to stand on the footplate of a steam locomotive and prepare and operate a steam locomotive for a day? Birthdays, Anniversaries, Achievements - this would make an exciting gift for someone? Phone for further details about this unique opportunity.

See 'Places Towns & Cities - Barry'.
