Travel behind a vintage steam locomotive in one of the all-weather observation coaches through part of the magnificent Brecon Beacons National Park.

Directions:
The Railway is located just off the A465 Heads of the Valleys trunk road - about 3 miles north of Merthyr Tydfil. Follow the 'Mountain Railway' signs from the A470 and A465 and you will arrive in the large free car & coach park.
By public transport, take the 35 bus route from Merthyr Central Bus Station.
The railway line runs alongside the Taf Fechan Reservoir to Dol-y-Gaer through some of Wales’ most beautiful scenery with views of Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. The round trip takes sixty-five minutes, including a twenty minute stop at Pontsticill where one can picnic, walk or visit the snack bar.
There is a gift shop, café and toilet facilities at the main station, Pant.
Disabled facilities are available at Pant Station plus a special railway carriage that is accessible by wheel chair.
